Five ways Frostbite keeps your server clean
Not a moderation suite with a scam filter bolted on as an afterthought. Frostbite is built end to end around one job.
- Catches scam images and known scam links Recognizes scam pictures automatically, even ones it has never seen before, and blocks known scam links.
- Spots hacked accounts, helps them recover Notices when a trusted member is spamming scams because their account was hacked, and helps them recover it.
- Every server makes every other server safer Once one server blocks a scam image, every server running Frostbite blocks it too.
- Set up in one command One command turns protection on. It also checks its own setup and speaks 8 languages.
- You decide what happens next Decide what happens to the account behind the scam, separately for every kind of detection.
Catches scam images and known scam links
Scammers count on a filter only recognizing the exact same file. Resize a scam picture, recompress it, or crop a corner off, and most bots see a brand-new image. Frostbite looks at what's actually in the picture, so an edited repost still gets caught.
If a picture slips past that check, Frostbite reads the words written on it, the same way you'd read a sign in a photo, and compares that text to known scam phrases, ignoring the spacing and lookalike characters that make the same scam image read differently every time. That catches scams no one has flagged yet, not just repeats. It also watches chat directly for known scam links and phrases.
- Recognizes edited, resized, or recompressed scam images, not just exact copies
- Reads text baked into images and checks it against known scams
- Also filters known scam links and phrases posted in chat
- Runs entirely on Frostbite's own servers. Nothing is sent to a third party

Spots hacked accounts, helps them recover
A hacked-account scam wave has a clear pattern: a member you trust suddenly posts the same scam picture in several channels, often in several of your other servers, within seconds. Frostbite watches for that exact pattern, including waves that spread across servers a single-server bot would never notice.
When it catches one, Frostbite doesn't assume the member did it on purpose. It sends them a direct message explaining what happened and how to secure their account, instead of just a ban notice. If a server chooses to remove them automatically, that same message includes a one-time invite back in, so a hacked member isn't shut out for good.
- Recognizes hacked-account scam waves across channels and across servers
- A hidden trap channel catches anything the main filters miss
- One recovery message per person, however many scams they posted
- Sends the affected member help, not just a punishment
- Removed members get a one-time invite back in, so mistakes aren't permanent
It contained content commonly associated with scams or compromised accounts. If you didn't send this, your Discord account is likely compromised, secure it immediately.
Every server makes every other server safer
A scam image only has to be caught once. When Frostbite blocks one on any server, that block spreads to every other server it protects. A scam that's already been shut down elsewhere never gets the chance to spread to yours in the first place.
Members can help too. Right-click any suspicious message, or use /report, to send it straight to a human reviewer. One confirmed report can take an image out of circulation everywhere. And anyone can run /stats to see Frostbite's live track record. No dashboard or login needed.
- A scam blocked on one server is blocked on all of them, automatically
- Members can report suspicious messages in two clicks
- A public /stats command shows exactly what Frostbite has caught
- Protection gets stronger over time, for every server at once

Set up in one command
There's no dashboard to configure and no config file to edit. One command turns on the scam image and scam text filters and points them at a log channel. The honeypot and cross-channel spam detection are switched on separately with /filter enable. From there, /filter status shows exactly what's on, what's off, and (this is the part most bots skip) whether Frostbite actually has the Discord permissions it needs to do its job.
Frostbite also speaks eight languages out of the box (English, German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Portuguese, Polish, and Swedish), with more on the way from community contributors. Each member can pick their own language, and the posts Frostbite shares with your whole server carry a button that instantly re-renders them in whoever is reading.
- One command turns on the scam filters. No config files
- Checks its own Discord permissions and tells you if something's missing
- Speaks 8 languages, chosen per member, growing with community help
- A translate button on shared posts, so one message works for everyone
Quick setup done. String and image filters are on, and removals are reported to #mod-log. Run /filter status to see what else you can configure.
You decide what happens next
Catching the scam is only half of it. Frostbite keeps a separate consequence for every kind of detection, so an image-hash match and a honeypot trip do not have to be treated the same. Each one can do nothing at all, time the member out, kick them, or ban them.
The member always hears why before anything happens, with your appeal link attached if you set one, and a kick can carry a one-time invite so a hacked member gets straight back in once their account is secure. You choose where any of it applies: filters cover every channel by default, and you exclude the categories or exempt the channels that do not need them.
- A separate action per filter: nothing, timeout, kick, or ban
- Add your own banned words and links, scoped to chat, images, or both
- Exclude whole categories or exempt individual channels
- One log entry for a spray across forty channels, not forty
Image filter set to Timeout for 60 minutes. Members will be told why and given your appeal link.
12 messages removed across 4 channels. Author timed out for 60 minutes.

Frequently asked questions
What does Frostbite do?
Frostbite is a Discord bot that automatically finds and removes scam images, known scam links, and hacked-account spam from your server, in real time. It also helps members recover if their own account gets hacked.
Is Frostbite free?
Yes. Frostbite is free to add and free to use. There's no credit card required to turn on protection.
How does Frostbite recognize scam images it hasn't seen before?
Frostbite looks at what a picture actually shows, not just its exact file, so a resized, recompressed, or lightly edited repost still gets caught. If a picture still gets through, Frostbite reads any text written inside it and checks that against known scam phrases, which catches brand-new scam images too.
What happens if Frostbite flags my account by mistake?
Frostbite assumes a flagged account was hacked, not that the member did anything wrong. It sends a direct message explaining what happened and how to secure the account, and if the server is set up to remove members automatically, that message includes a one-time invite back in.
What languages does Frostbite support?
Frostbite speaks English, German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Portuguese, Polish, and Swedish out of the box, with more languages added over time by community contributors. Each member can pick their own language.
Can Frostbite ban or time out the people posting scams?
Yes, and you choose separately for each kind of detection. Scam images, scam text, the trap channel, and the cross-server spam detectors each have their own setting: do nothing, time the member out, kick them, or ban them. A kick can include a one-time invite back, and every notice can carry your own appeal link.
Can I add my own banned words or links?
Yes. Run /filter strings add with anything you want blocked, and scope each entry to chat messages, text found inside images, or both. Filters cover every channel by default, and you can exclude whole categories or exempt individual channels.
Does Frostbite replace my other moderation bot?
No. Frostbite is a specialist. It focuses entirely on scam and phishing detection, and is built to run alongside whatever moderation, leveling, or utility bots you already use.
How do I set up Frostbite?
Add Frostbite to your server, then run /filter quicksetup in any channel. That one command turns on the scam image and scam text filters and connects them to a log channel. Cross-channel spam detection and the honeypot are switched on with /filter enable (the honeypot needs /filter sethoneypotchannel first). Run /filter status any time to see what's on and confirm Frostbite has the permissions it needs.
Ready to protect your server?
One command turns scam protection on. No credit card required.
