### What does Frostbite do?

Frostbite is a Discord bot that automatically finds and removes scam images, known scam links, and hacked-account spam from your server, in real time. It also helps members recover if their own account gets hacked.

### Is Frostbite free?

Yes. Frostbite is free to add and free to use. There's no credit card required to turn on protection.

### How does Frostbite recognize scam images it hasn't seen before?

Frostbite looks at what a picture actually shows, not just its exact file, so a resized, recompressed, or lightly edited repost still gets caught. If a picture still gets through, Frostbite reads any text written inside it and checks that against known scam phrases, which catches brand-new scam images too.

### What happens if Frostbite flags my account by mistake?

Frostbite assumes a flagged account was hacked, not that the member did anything wrong. It sends a direct message explaining what happened and how to secure the account, and if the server is set up to remove members automatically, that message includes a one-time invite back in.

### What languages does Frostbite support?

Frostbite speaks English, German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Portuguese, Polish, and Swedish out of the box, with more languages added over time by community contributors. Each member can pick their own language.

### Can Frostbite ban or time out the people posting scams?

Yes, and you choose separately for each kind of detection. Scam images, scam text, the trap channel, and the cross-server spam detectors each have their own setting: do nothing, time the member out, kick them, or ban them. A kick can include a one-time invite back, and every notice can carry your own appeal link.

### Can I add my own banned words or links?

Yes. Run /filter strings add with anything you want blocked, and scope each entry to chat messages, text found inside images, or both. Filters cover every channel by default, and you can exclude whole categories or exempt individual channels.

### Does Frostbite replace my other moderation bot?

No. Frostbite is a specialist. It focuses entirely on scam and phishing detection, and is built to run alongside whatever moderation, leveling, or utility bots you already use.

### How do I set up Frostbite?

Add Frostbite to your server, then run /filter quicksetup in any channel. That one command turns on the scam image and scam text filters and connects them to a log channel. Cross-channel spam detection and the honeypot are switched on with /filter enable (the honeypot needs /filter sethoneypotchannel first). Run /filter status any time to see what's on and confirm Frostbite has the permissions it needs.
